August 2006
A new fire safety order (Regulatory Reform ( Fire Safety) Order 2005) comes into force on 1 October 2006.
This Order will affect all non domestic premises.
The DCLG is working with stakeholders on a publicity strategy to raise awareness of the new laws amongst those affected. There are a series of guides published to assist those preparing fire risk assessments and affected by this Order.
